Ishrath's Story

It has been more than a month since Ishrath has been staying home. The money needed to run her big, joint family has been slowly running out.

She has been working as a tailor, making garments for young kids, after receiving training from the Fatehnagar training center of Nirmaan. However, she and her family members have been idle because of the lockdown. She has been waiting for the silver lining of the cloud - when the lockdown will be finally revoked, and they get back to work.

It is then that Nirmaan has come to her rescue. To rise to the ever-growing need for face masks, and to offer a helping hand to women like her who are idle because of the lockdown, Ishrath, with help and support from Nirmaan, has used a double-edged weapon to wage a war on Corona.

After receiving training from Nirmaan, she has begun making masks. She earns around 500 rupees a week, which helps her transition through these tough times. To her relief, the silver lining has come to her before she expected.

A cheerful Ishrath thanks Nirmaan with eyes filled with gratitude.
